The Santa Barbara County Association of Governments (SBCAG) meets concurrently as the  Airport Land Use Commission, the Service Authority for Freeway Emergencies, and the Local Transportation Authority.

                                               IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

In September 2021, the California State Legislature passed, and the Governor signed, Assembly Bill 361 (Rivas, 2021), which amends the Government Code to allow Brown Act bodies to continue to meet remotely if certain elements are met. The SBCAG Board of Directors will meet only virtually for this meeting. Members of the public may observe and address the Board as shown below:


The following alternative methods of participation are available to the public:

2. Public Participation: if you wish to make a general public comment or to comment on a specific agenda item, the following methods are available:
• Distribution to the SBCAG Board. Submit comments via email to info@sbcag.org no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, or through mail to SBCAG at 260 North San Antonio Road, Suite B, Santa Barbara, CA 93110 to be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Your comment will be placed into the record and distributed appropriately.

Members of the public wishing to be called on for public comment should click on the “Raise Hand” button on zoom when the item they wish to speak on has begun. RECONSIDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE COVID-19 STATE OF EMERGENCY
Recommended action:
1. Reconsider the circumstances of the COVID-19 state of emergency;
 
2. Consider whether state or local officials continue to impose or recommend measures to promote social distancing;

3. Find that the SBCAG Board has reconsidered the circumstances of the state of emergency, and that State or local officials continue to impose or recommend measures to promote social distancing; and

4. Direct Staff to continue to notice and hold hearings as remote hearings consistent with Government Code § 54953(e)(3).
3. PUBLIC COMMENT
The public may address the Santa Barbara County Association of Governments on any subject within the jurisdiction of the Board that is not included as part of this agenda.  Comments shall be limited to 250 words, or less. Please follow instructions at the top of this agenda.
